NAFEPA Scholarship

Purpose
The purpose of the scholarship program is to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying seniors or high school graduates who are attending their first year of college

Eligibility
Candidates for the NAFEPA scholarship will be selected by the NAFEPA affiliate state. Each state may select one candidate to represent their state for the national scholarship program.

Selection Process
Scholarship winners will be selected based on the following areas of equal point value:

  • High school or college transcript from fall 2009
  • extracurricular activities/leadership activities within the community or church
  • Three letters of recommendation, including letters from a principal and faculty member
  • Financial need
  • A 300 word (max) essay outlining his/her leadership activities and future goals

Scholarship Payment
The full amount of each scholarship will be made payable to the institution of choice.

NAFEPA offers three different scholarships: (1) Stanley J. McFarland, (2)John A. Pfaff, and (3)Iva McCants. Each of the three scholarship awards is $2,500.
