Alcorn State High School Day

This is a reminder about our annual fall High School and Community College Day on Saturday, November 14, 2009 and to extend an invitation for you and your students to attend. This day has been set aside to allow high school students, transfer students, chaperones and/or parents an opportunity to visit the campus. Information regarding financial aid, scholarship opportunities, housing and extracurricular programs will be available. Administrators, faculty, staff and students will be on hand to answer questions that you may have concerning Alcorn State University.

The Alcorn family is very excited about this program and look forward to seeing you on our campus for this great event. The agenda for Alcorn State University High School and Community College is as follows:
· 8:00-8:55a.m. - Registration
o The registration will be conducted inside the E.E. Simmons Gymnasium, all students and chaperones will sign in and receive their wrist bands to eat a free lunch and attend the Football Game.

· 9:00-10:30a.m. - General Assembly
o The general assembly will include D.J., Greek Strolls, ASU Drum Line, ASU Gospel Choir, and giveaways.

· 10:30-12:00 (noon) – Academic Schools and Departmental Information/Campus Tours
o Academic Schools and Departmental Information Displays – James L. Bolden Campus Union Ballroom
o Campus Tours - Admissions Counselors

· 12:00 p.m.-2:30p.m. - Lunch
o Bag Lunches will be provided in the E.E. Simmons Gymnasium.

· 2:00p.m. Football Game
o Alcorn State University Braves versus Prairie View A&M; Jack Spinks’ stadium.

Groups and individuals arriving after the end of the morning information session will be required to purchase game tickets and meals. Come enjoy the day with us as we celebrate our High School/Community College Day.
