As the nation's leading educational loan guarantor, USA Funds works to promote access to higher education for all deserving students.
For the 2009-2010 academic year USA Funds will award $1,500 scholarships to students with economic need. Full-time and half-time undergraduates are eligible for the awards. Up to 50 percent of the scholarships will be targeted to students who, in addition to demonstration financial need, are members of an ethnic minority group or a physically disabled.
The will accept applications online at www.usafunds.org/scholarship betweenDec. 15, 2008 and Feb. 16, 2009. Details about this scholarship program are currently posted on the website.
