Heart to Heart Hospice is offering two $500.00 scholarships to local graduating seniors. The guidelines for participation are as follows:
· Student must plan on attending a 2 or 4 year college following graduation
· Student must volunteer a minimum of 10 hours with our volunteer program
· Student must submit a reference check and complete a brief orientation program prior to volunteering
· Student will have no direct patient contact during the volunteer experience, if under the age of 18
· Student must submit a typed essay with no less than 300 words reflecting his/her experience while volunteering with Heart to Heart Hospice
· There are no GPA requirements for this scholarship
Applications are available in my office. All volunteer applications must be turned in no later than November 3, 2008 the deadline for completing volunteer time is Friday, April 17, 2009. The essay deadline is Friday, May 1, 2009.
