Classical Singer's High School Vocal Competition '09

More than$2,000,000 in scholarships & university scholarships are available. In addition to the scholarships available there are $7,500 in cash prizes being awarded and students will automatically receive a free subscription to Classical Singer magazine.

Interested students need to register for the First Round of the ’09 Classical Singer High School Vocal Competition. The First round begins as early as November 8 and space is limited at each location.

At this unique Competition your students will sing for distinguished judges who will do something almost unheard of – give invaluable written feedback. And students get crucial live competition experience. Plus they will be the special recruiting guests of the host school as they meet faculty & see the facilities first-hand.

The regular registration fee is $75, but students can save $10 by using the discount code PCMTD1.

The First Round of the Competition runs from November 1 – March 15 at 35 universities throughout the country. Top three singers at each location, plus multiple general finalists, will advance to the Second Round, held during the Classical Singer Convention in Chicago on May 30-31 at the Westin O’Hare hotel. Some university locations have sent as many as 20 students to the Second Round.

Besides participating in the Competition, students will receive a Free ticket to the College Expo ’09 recruiting fair and masterclasses in Chicago, regularly $45. Held at the Classical Singer Convention, representatives from more than 50 top vocal programs (including Juilliard, Eastman, NYU & many others) attend the recruiting fair and present masterclasses & workshops.
