Dancers, are you interested in majoring in dance after high school?
High School Dance Day is your opportunity to see what dance at Southern Miss can offer you! You are invited to spend Friday, April 16th, with us in the Theatre & Dance building. Classes in ballet, modern dance, and improvisation will be taught by our faculty. Two levels of Ballet & Modern will be available. In addition, all participants will receive complimentary tickets to the Fall Dance Concert featuring the Southern Miss Repertory Dance Company.
Tentative Schedule
9:30 - 10 - Registration
10 -10:15 - Informal Dance Chat
10:15 - 11 - Mini-Dance Concert
11 - 12:15 - Ballet I & Ballet II
12:15 - 12:45 - Lunch (provided)
1 - 2:15 - Modern Dance I & II
2:15- 3:30 - Improvisation
3:30 - 7:30 - Dinner on you own
7:30 - Spring Dance concert
For a nonrefundable fee of $15, you can participate in all these activities. Make your reservations early, Spaces fill up quickly. Be sure to include a readable email address in order to receive confirmation of registration.
