Applications for the 2010 session of Mississippi Governor's School, a residential honors program for high ability 10th & 11th grade students, held at MUW are now available. Student's who are selected for this 3 week residential program receive a full scholarship for tuition, room and board. The dates for the 2010 session are June 6-25, and the theme is Leading in a Time of Change.
There are numerous benefits for students who attend Governor's School. Each scholars will receive three hours of college credit to be used at any university and a $500 scholarship to attend the W. They may qualify for additional scholarships as well. While challenging academics are certainly a cornerstone of the program, residential, recreation, and social aspects are equally important as is the focus of developing leadership potential.
